File name: The name of the file you are downloading, regardless of the application you have selected, is called aspapps.asp. If you want to rename the file, you will have to also rename any instances of the string "aspapps.asp" in the source code in order to get all the links and redirects working properly.
Database: Any applications that use a database will have a variable called Application("dbConn") which must be replaced with a valid database connection string that points to the mydata.mdb database or your sql server. This variable may be found more than one time in a given app. The link to the database can be found in the next paragraph. The database contains all the stored procedures already inside of it. If you think that MS Access cannot use simple stored procedures, you are wrong, its just that MS Access provides no way for you to see them. They can only be added and removed programmatically via the ADO objects. For more information about stored procedures, including their use in MS Access, read fun with stored procedures. ONLY ONE COPY OF THE DATABASE OR SQL SCRIPTS IS REQUIRED TO POWER EVERY CLASSIC ASP APP. |
